1. Scope
This policy covers the ShoprGo website, owner dashboard, and public shop or booking pages. It does not cover WhatsApp itself. When a customer taps “Send on WhatsApp,” Meta processes that chat under WhatsApp’s privacy policy.
2. Data we collect from owners
- Account: name, email, and a hashed password.
- Business: name, slug, category, description, phone, mode (catalog or booking).
- Catalog: products, photos, prices, variants, stock, extra fields, notes on orders.
- Booking: services, duration, prices, business hours, booking notes.
- Activity: order and booking records, statuses (placed, confirmed, completed, cancelled), and in-app notifications.
3. Data customers provide
Customers do not need a ShoprGo account. When they check out or book, they typically give:
- Name and phone number (required to create the order or booking).
- Optional note to the shop.
- Delivery address if they choose delivery instead of pickup.
That information is stored with the order or booking so you can fulfill it, call them, or message them on WhatsApp. You are the controller of your customer list. Use it only to complete the sale or appointment unless you have a separate lawful basis.
4. Data stored only on the customer’s device
The public shop may keep a bag, saved items, and guest name/phone/address in the browser (local storage) so the next visit is faster. That data stays on their phone or computer unless they clear site data. ShoprGo does not sync that guest profile to an owner account except when they submit an order or booking.
5. How we use data
- To run your dashboard and live page.
- To create orders, bookings, tokens, and notifications.
- To let you export CSV of orders or bookings from Activity.
- To keep the service secure and debug faults.
We do not sell customer phone numbers or email lists.
6. Sharing
Hosting, database, and similar infrastructure providers may process data to keep ShoprGo online. We share an order or booking with you because you are the business. We may disclose information if required by law. We do not share your catalog privately with other shops.
7. Retention
Account and business data stay until you delete them or we close an abandoned account. Orders and bookings remain so you have a record of what was placed, completed, or cancelled. You can stop publishing by taking the live page down or deleting products and services.
8. Security
Dashboard access uses a login token. Passwords are not stored in plain text. No method is perfect — protect your password and who can open your owner dashboard.
9. Children
ShoprGo is meant for businesses, not for children under 18 to create accounts. Do not knowingly collect data from children through your shop.
10. Your choices
Owners can update business and item details in the dashboard. Customers can ask you to correct or cancel an order or booking. For a copy or deletion of account data, write from the email registered on the account.
11. Changes
We may update this policy when the product changes (for example if online payments go live). The date at the top is the current version.
